Access to the battery is fairly easy. To your question yes, It can be coded out if it's the seat mat sensor but you have to disconnect the sensor Join Date: Feb 2009. Hey just wondering if this has happened to anyone or if this can be related to the other E92 platforms as the actual airconditioning unit should be the same. Everything turns on and if you leave it on for awhile you can tell the condensor is still working Out running errands today and it now appears that Cruise Control will not work above about 59-61 MPH. On top of that the "Service Engine Soon" light came on while we were testing it today, with less than 2300 miles on the odo. Vehicle Status shows all system OK. Looks like it may be going to the dealer next week. The $2.1k estimate was for $450 per sensor and 5 hours of labor @ $220 per hour. Pretty insane considering I could buy the tools and parts for $350 and do this all on a Sunday. I did previously check the voltage and the fuses and there were no issues. The oxygen sensor heater was setting as part of the OBD2 cycle. Right now, if I set both driver and passenger sides to the coldest setting, cold air comes out the passenger vents and ambient temp. air seems to come from the driver's side (ie: it's not cold but it doesn't appear to be heated either). If I turn the driver's side to the hottest setting, heated air will come from the driver's side air vents. 1 1) Turn on ignition, but do not start the car (foot off brake, press start twice - dashboard lights should be on) 2) Set both temp controls all the way up. 3) Hit "auto" on the climate control. 4) Turn fan control all the way down. 5) Press and hold gas pedal down for about 10 seconds. There is the list of features that are coming with the new seats: 1-Airbag sensor. 2-Seat belt sensor. 3-Heating system. 4-4 motors for position adjustments. 5-Side bolsters. 6-Lumbar bolster. So, any seat are coming with at least option 1 and 2. I already have option 3 and I will add the option 4-5-6. I read this information on the BMW site as well as my personal experiences. 1) It will not work if you are in M mode. 2) The engine HAS to be at operating temperature. 3) If the climate control is on auto and the cabin is not at the desired temp (set by the controls) (heat/AC) the start/stop will NOT activate.
