I just tried it out whilst escaping a heat 4 chase, I hid in the port area with all the containers and turned my car off and the cops drove around the area and were relatively close to me, and since my car was off their couldn't detect me as well. The way I found to lose cops is to hit the Nascar track and just keep doing laps. It takes time and you can easily hit the jump to mix it up sometimes. Tips and Tricks to Find Cops: 1.
